Ok.. Hat's off to Scott and the boys for a great job on this project!!! ... The packages arrived this morning by Fedex (I was pretty nervous about that! ) .... the 4X12 box had a tear in it,..but the Styrofoam was still intact ... The Head shell box was perfect ... But I sure hope they don't ship out a New Full head in those packing peanuts!! ... that's just asking for a problem! Everything is basically the way I wanted it to be,... only the stripes were to continue down along the back of both the head shell and the 4X12 ... .. but other than that,..it's what I ordered. I had the cab loaded with 4 - SB25's (Still have to fire it up and try those out...) One thing that I will say ..... In regards to the Salt/Pepper Grill cloth,..well one would think that the "Salt" would refer to "White",...which is not the case,...it's not even off white, but more like Almond or Cream colored instead ... I didn't like that too much,...but it's growing on me I guess... Ok,.. enough chit-chat... on to some pics More in the next post...

And here's the rest.... Ok... well that's that,.. hope you all enjoy those pics,...please post your thoughts on how you think it looks and how the color scheme with the grill goes together,... Thanks, Rick Oh,... and from the time I placed the order until the time I received it, was 8 weeks 2 days ... I was quoted 4-6 weeks,...so keep that in mind when you're ordering I guess

Man that looks fookin great! I really hope Scott will start using better packing materials, can't trust those shipping companies. dudes, scott double boxes and uses bracing/etc when he sends out heads. they aren't just thrown in a box with packing peanuts. it takes you 30 minutes to unpack a head because of the great way he packs them. outside of shipping stuff in rack cases, you're going to have some damage somewhere eventually. i've received 3 heads and 2 cabs from the man and there was never a problem.

That looks cool Rick! I think the Grill cloth looks awesome. If it was white it wouldn't look good at al in my opinion. It's a nice off color that really brings that color scheme to life IMO. I think it looks great with the back just white. I don't think I'd like stripes going all the way down the back of my amp. Besides....who see's the back of your amp anyway? Awesome looking QR.

wow... dude that looks awesome! I would have went with a black grill cloth on the cab and head... but like you said, this one grows on you. Very nice.
Is there any extra cost to get something like this ?

I dunno man my head came packed with newspapers inside?? And the foam used on my cab didn't look like it covered all of it, and it's not very durable. Didn't get a scratch on either of them though, but some other guys here weren't as lucky.

Thanks for all the comments guys!! ... Glad to hear that a fully loaded Amp/Headshell isn't shipped in just peanuts!!! ... The more I look at the Salt/Pepper grill cloth,..the more I like it .. .. It looks like tomorrow will be the first chance I'll have to crank up the QR with the new 4X12 cab and SB25's ... can't wait till then!!! ... If I've got time, maybe I'll record a short test clip as well Thanks again!! Rick

Thanks for all the comments guys!! ... The more I look at the Salt/Pepper grill cloth,..the more I like it .. .. It reminds me of the cloth interior of a 57 Chevy. Hot rod outside, itchy seats inside. ;D Has a real classic/vintage hot-rod vibe to it with the salt-pepper cloth, especially on the head. That's a cool look for sure! Love it! Black or white cloth would have been too standard/predictable - would have looked good, but not nearly as classy as what you picked.

I think it was a wise choice to use the same grill cloth in the area of the "V" on the Head Shell,.. I think that really ties the whole "1/2 Stack" Together .. ... I think you're right too ,.. it's got that Hot Rod vibe to it,..with an underlying "Classic" look ... ...
Cool beans! coo-coo ..coo cool beans!
