My cabinet arrived today with a damaged FedEx box! After our conversations about FedEx screwing up our Splawn masterpieces, I was sick at my stomach. Here are the pictures of the jacked up box. Luckily the cabinet was unscathed! (Here you can see where they gashed the box and crudely taped over it so absolutely nothing else could damage the goods inside! LOL!) (This one you can actually see the cab inside. I was most worried for this one) (Small gash but still crappy) (Final product)

That is just plain out of line.... that's not just a LITTLE abuse. What did FedEx do, use the package as a tackling dummy?

Nice Cab!!! ... Thank GOD it wasn't damaged with all of that external packing damage ... I'm starting to worry a bit ...uhm... I see you're located in Tenn. ?? ... I'm in IL,...so I hope I don't end up with the same situation ... In regards to the wait time on a 4X12,... I was quoted 4-6 weeks on a Custom 4X12 and Head Shell ... I"m on my 8th Week now ... but it's supposed to ship out by the end of the week .... Mine may be taking a bit longer as I'm having mine done with "Racing Stripes" on both units,... but still,.. that was what I was quoted.. Rick

I ordered mine about 2 and a half weeks ago. Maybe 3. It was way quicker than the last order.

It was a great relief that there wasn't any damage to the cabinet. I think the guys at Fed Ex hate guitar players. They must not know how they're messing with our feelings..... and their lives..... LOL! Kidding! Dang... you guys are so serious!

When I talked with Scott I asked if he used anyone else to ship because storys i heard. He said out of 100+ orders he sent out in the last few months he only had under 10 units that had an issue. So that isnt so bad...

I don't know... 10%? There has to be a better way. I guess when you ship stuff that heavy, it's a crapshoot.

Consider yourself fortunate... I once oredered a cab (not a Splawn) that was shipped UPS. They must have dropped the thing off the top of the truck. Two casters were broken off, the cab was severely dented on one corner and it was knocked out of square. Fortunately the seller was kind enoough to refund my money because UPS denied his claim saying that it was inadequately packaged...Oh yeah, the amp head that was shipped along with the cab was equally damaged and wouldn't even turn on!!! Don't send anything of value with UPS!!! They will find a way out of covering the insured amount..

I guess USPS is the way to go then, cheaper too. Do they have insurance?

If you take the item to FedEx, UPS, or USPS and have them box it up (way more expensive), they should cover anything that's damaged. No "it was packaged correctly" bull crap. It cost more, but it may be worth it in the end. When I sold my Marshall cab it ended up costing like $90 something to package. It was a real drag, BUT no damages and no customer yelling at me because the damages weren't covered.
