Even though he couldn't make the convention, he's mainly responsible for me being there..
if it weren't for him posting his clips up on the seymour duncan site, answering a bagillion of my noobish questions and pointing me in the direction of scott's site and these boards in particular, I probably wouldn't be playing a Splawn right now and I wouldn't have been a part of the family...
So thanks to you, you big lug!

SPEECH! I love yoose guys... [sniff, sniff].. Well I'm glad I could help. Everyone owes their Splawnowledge to someone I guess.. and I guess VomHalen is my guy. I heard of Splawn from him on the VHForums.. and was sold after hearing Scotts "Light up the Sky" riffage clip. I didn't open my wallet though until Al Estradas live Mean Street clip where hes chugging that A string at the end of the tune and I nearly sharted myself..... SOLD. Al's my guy for sure.. too bad he never fcking posts here. I would also like thank myself. For it was myself and my purple leopard pants pictured in front of a Splawn stack that made me want to buy my second Quick Rod and many, many Splawn cabinets! The sweaty caveman blumpkin sound which I INVENTED is responsible for many more Splawn purchases for myself to come for... uh myself. In closing I would also like to say that I sincerely hope I've helped some of you douchebags moreso then I've p1ssed off. Next year the first ones on me!

This reminds me of something: I tried to get Al Estrada to the convention. Scott put a call into him maybe 6 weeks ago. I was hoping he could come and do his thing for us. He had scheduling conflicts, but Scott told me that he did call the day before the convention to wish us luck etc... I thought it would have been cool to see him rocking the shizit out of Scott's amps in person...oh yeah....

There weren't many clips and vids when I started looking into Splawns. There were only a few Pro Mod clips and I think it was TJ and Chris Schmitt who kind of sold me. I first heard about them on HCAF and then found this site.
