So i just finished telling Shreder this.. Well I don't mind telling you guys,, its just bad timing financially for me. Last month I had over $6000 in the bank spare cash.. things were fine.. In the past 30 days.. $800 drive-shaft and transfer case on my Jeep Liberty $400 new radiator $350 paying for that dog that my dog killed.. LMAO.. $1500 new transmission on the Liberty.. this car has literally fallen apart all at once. Key West Trip we spent about $1500 with hotel and gas and everything.. Then I had a $200 pool repair come up when I got back.. Plus I just bought my wife a $70,000 van for her business, that first payment was just due and my house payment, other bills etc.. and what I have left in the bank now is about $500. LMAO. The splawn trip was going to cost me about $300 for hotel and gas.. which is coincidentally about the same amount of money I lost when I had the flu and had to cancel those 2 gigs... Ya know sh1t happens to everyone,, and its my turn. I just had a really bad month. I'm really sorry I couldn't hang with yuns this weekend. I'm just not used to being broke and I have to put these priorities first.

Yeah.. seriously it blows.. you hear all the hard luck stories from other forum members... now its my turn I guess. Just a temporary thing though,, no biggie. I been doing some number crunching and I should be back in shape in a month or 2.

Dude I know how you feel. Here it is the day before I am to leave and my girlfiend needed a emergency root canal this morning. Thank god that is taken care of. It would not be as fun with her at this gathering and feeling bad. So DC, hats of to ya. I hope someday we can all get together for a jam and a cold one. And I hope your Jeep stays in one pc. for a while.

That understandable but just for the record, I have about $40 in my bank account at the moment and I'm still going. Any expenses are going on the credit card unfortunately. I am somehow managing to move all my crap out of my apartment by tomorrow, into a friends house and get ready for the convention. Sh!t, I had to not pay my car insurance this monh just because I don't have it. I need to pay the rent before I leave tomorrow and that will basically clean out my bank account. I don't paid till next week. Sooo... what I'm saying is buck up and get yer azz there. How often will this oppurtunity come about, ya know! Quit crying and take out the plastic.

I hear ya Don,, but I've been down that road before. I just don't do that anymore. I put some stuff in Key West on the cards... and already regret it paying 14% interest on some bar tab,, LMAO. No thanks. . I had my share of financial troubles in my 20's.. contrary to my hedonistic image, I'm pretty responsible and when my checking account dips below $5,000 I get real nervous.

Really guys, no worries here. I just wanted to be honest and not make up some silly excuse. Things are fine and its just a temporary situation. I'm not mortgaging the house or anything.. My wifes business is starting to do well and in the coming months that will also help ALOT. Right now my income is paying for everything.

Yeah, mine hit $6,000 this year for a short time - mostly due to a bonus from work we never ever get normally. but then I got my QR and a new mac and some studio stuff , and I have a 4x12 on the way. So I'm about where you are DC ;D - I'm sure my car will fall apart soon and I'll be stuck with all of this great gear and no ride to work. I went through the same damn thing in my late 20's...went through bankruptcy - I only have 1 credit card for emergencies now - with a low limit. Well, and the Sweetwater CC too...but that's only for when they have the no int./no payment specials!

Understandable. I try to never use my CC because of the 14% interest rate too but I keep it around for emergency situations like this. I am pretty responsible too and have never been in so much debt that I needed a loan, claimed bankrupcy, had to borrow large amounts from people, etc. Right no is the worst shape I have been in since I graduated college but I'm rolling with it and doing what I can to get out. If you feel you can't figure out a cheap way of making this weekend happen than sorry to hear you can't make it. You are one of the ambassadors of the forum and we'll miss ya there. Good luck.
