LOL...I was going to avoid asking this question because I figured I would get scouls and grunts. I tried playing yesterday w/o any pedals and I realize how bad I suck w/o them. It's not that I can't play w/o them it's just that I have been playing soooo long with them. Even if I plug straight into my Rivera at home I still have a DE-7 delay in the loop and the amp reverb on. I honestly hate playing w/o a little reverb. That said, I am bringing my pedalboard just in case I feel like hooking them up and also for checking out the loop of the Nitro. I want to play my set-up through that because that might be my next amp down the road.

My major problem is what guitar to bring. My Strat is playing like a POS since it fell on it face. I think the neck is warped because I have to adjust the truss rod everytime I play. I could bring my LP but I'm afraid of anything else happening to it in the car ride.

DD, my LP fell once - it had a hairline crack in the neck...wouldn't stay in tune, neck was all out of whack like that. Might want to check for that. Hopefully not, but it can be fixed by a good luthier.

Hopefully not, but it can be fixed by a good luthier. Well my LP fell once too and the headstock broke. It has been fixed but I was real upset because that was my favorite guitar. I like the Strat a lot but I am not in love it with it like my LP. If anything were to happen to it I feel it could be replaced and the $$ would be the only issue. I just want to get a new neck for the Strat because I don't like the Modern "c" shape. As it stands right now though, it plays like sh!t.

My headstock survived (with a nice dent in it), but man - I felt like I killed my own kid or something when it happened.

I hate bringing a guitar on a plane. Such a pain in the butt!!! I think I'm bringing my Wayne if I bring a guitar at all. Might just have to borrow one of your guys guitars to play on for a few.

Shreder, It is actually the one with the Grim Reaper with the Japanese flag behind him. Mine is old. I rebuilt it and had it repainted with that graphic. It is not one of the new ones

Shreder, I think the specs should be just about the same. Those old Charvels were pretty close but still varied a bit since they were hand made. I wish I could check one out as well too see if it was close. I did check out one of Wayne's guitars when he first started putting them out again and it was pretty close, if not better.
