I've liked lots of amps....prior to the Splawn.....a boosted 2203X was the closest to the tone, sound and feel that sounds and feels most natural to me. The Competition sounds and feels better to me and has some extra aggression and percussiveness and a is voiced exactly how I like......I can get the 80's/speed/death/thrash/metal tones that I love out of this amp.....its just so natural coming from this amp.
