For those tunes I stick very close to the records with a little added spice maybe,, For example the first Your in Love solo I play nearly note for note,, the outtro solo at the end is all improv. Same with Tesla, Dokken etc.. I usually stick the theme in there then do my own thing for the outtro solos.. Wait is perfect, I wouldn't dream of messing that solo up.. Hot For Teacher same thing but I don't play it exactly but sooo close most people that don't play guitar wouldnt notice and people that do would probably notice some extra shreddin' in there. Basically my motto is,, if its really good or memorable play it like the record,, if its weak,, do your own thing. yeah i agree...i have a similar approach...outros on stuff like ratt/dokken i'll improvise...main solos i'll play as close to the record as i can

Hey were not talking about nuts here. LOL. I always had the strongest voice around. I used to always get the jobs for the high dollar singing telegrams when I was going through school. Only white boy that had any rythm. I could sing it all. Catch all the high notes. Vocal instruction and coaching came after I landed one of the biggest auditions around and got the job. Natural talent got the job, helped me make the cut above all others. But once out on the road, it did'nt take long for me to realize I needed the help. Always wanted to get it right. Ended up owning a studio. ain't life a b--ch. Hey I loved the money off merchandising. Those shirts and hats and posters and such payed good money back in the day. ;D Hey but when it's all said and done. It became a job. ALL TO QUICK. That bro is another story for another time. Later..... ;D

I keep telling myself I'm going to slow down,, played 43 weeks last year 125 or so shows,, more the year before that. I turn 36 this month but I still wanna play as much as possible. People ask me to do fill-ins or side projects and I just can't say "NO"..
