Oh noooooooo!!!!! I'm still here Beaaaatches. Shoot, I been soooooo busy. I had 4 weeks to put together a quality band and set to open for Jani Lanes Warrant last Friday. CRAZY. Our first show and it was in front of 1500 people. I've been playing in 3 projects and also working like crazy on my classical repertoire. !!! I talked to Scott last week.. he sent me a Floyd for a new guitar I had built here in town,, its an EVH relic'ed 5150 Kramer replica using my orginal old kramer body I've had since I was 18 and a handmade neck. SWEET. The commando guitar is going to have to wait as Scott is just too busy to make them right now. Were going to get back together in a few months when his schedule clears up and finish it. He had some problems with logos and things he wants to work outm, and since I have 5 guitars I dont need it right now anyway. Its all good! BOTH QUICK RODS ARE KILLING! You should have seen the look on the kids face from Jani Lanes band when I plugged into that. 2 cabs, one on each side of the stage mic'ed 3 times. Awesome stereo setup. I have video,, and will try to get something edited here when I got a minute.. It was by far the PHATTEST live setup I've had yet running in stereo with a top notch PA run by top notch soundguys.. It was F.ing loud as sh#t too. xoxoxoxoxox! Dirrty Craig My band opened for them a few months back...Jani was terrible, he got super drunk and made a fool of himself. Dario was the highlight of the evening...but the 5150 was dialed in waaaaaaaay to dark and muddy.

Yeah, not the best band I've seen,, Jani didnt get loaded this time, but yeah the 16 year old kid was a highlight. Hes pretty good.. for 16! I felt a little bad for him, I think was a little dissappointed when we busted out Bark at the Moon and Hot for Teacher at soundcheck,, and all he could play was Warrant tunes,, yikes. BWWWHAHAHAHAHAHAH! He switched to Krank heads now! yuck,, poor youngster hasn't learned about tone yet, so I gave him a crash course in rip yer face off Splawn tones.

Jani Lane is a d1ck in my opinion. So much talent just wasting away. They shouldn't let that guy tour. He's a complete moron. I love reading Metal Sludge as they just tear him up on a daily basis.

Hey Craig, when are you guys playing in Orlando? Is the band still DirrtyHairy? I'm up in Jax now and it's easier for me to get down there vs. when I drove over from Tampa.
I was at the Guitar Center in Winter Park and saw a Dirrty Hairy guitar, a Playboy guitar, and a "Splawn" cabinet. I hope all is well over there

Yeah, Dirrty Hairy is done.. I started a new band with the drummer. We don't have an official name yet.. Were playing in town on August 11th at Mugshots. Check www.hair-metal.com or My Myspace for details, directions etc.. myspace.com/craigsmithThe stuff you saw at Guitar Center was the rhythm player Beau's stuff. He sold ALL of his musical equipment including Splawn head and all his guitars. Don't ask.

I'd rather not post it on a public forum. Hes still around I think. I will say that his last 4-5 shows he would "dissappear" in the 3rd set and often had runny noses and various illnesses preventing him from rehearsing and even a few shows.

I'll try to get down there on the 11th. I'm starting school the next week, so i need one last blowout before I disappear from these forums until December. Well, actually i'll reappear at least once to post a pic of my Mansel when I get it (gonna be sick!!)
Are you the only guitar player in the new band?
Regarding Beau, the Mother Theresa in me wanted to at least buy the two Bluerocker Customs. Nobody just dumps all their gear unless something's VERY wrong. I figured I'd hang onto them until he's in a position to buy them back. The Splawn sold for $900 at guitar center. SIGH

I know, what an idiot. I told him flat out that I'd buy his Splawn cash money for what he paid for it and he was too ashamed and went behind my back and sold it to GC. That made me madder than anything. Oh well, I really have no sympathy for people in that position. If your that weak minded than you deserve what happens. Sorry to sound harsh.. but I'm over it with that guy.

Hey Craig I feel your woes somewhat. I just had to cancel a very important show this Sunday because our drummer is in a mental clinic! He had a "nervous breakdown" last Saturday and won't be released until next week. I've had it with this guy and I think The Hams are just about finished.
I am looking for a band now where I am just the guitarist, NO MORE! Not front man, singer, promoter, booker, motivator, artist, and all the other phuckin things I get stuck doing. I just want to play my guitar.
uggghhhh
