Wow, jimbax must have really taken offense to want to sell off all his Splawn gear! How do you guys know he is unloading all of this? lol..it definetly wasn't that...according to him, he can't justify keeping it cause it doesn't suit what his band's doing these days....

to be honest, i'm not quite sure how we got on there. it was pretty last minute and i think it was mostly our manage working with the booking people to find us a spot. alot of times you can get on last minute if a band drops off or something. i think we are playing this year too....
the band is driving east drivingeast.com myspace.com/drivingeast (probably the best site to go to) purevolume.com/drivingeast there is also a pretty funny review of our ep on itunes or artistdirect.com/drivingeast.
oh, all guitars on the songs were recorded with my SLO....

That's pretty funny. We have to jump through a dozen hoops and you guys just landed a spot because someone canceled. I guess that'a the advantage of having a management company. You're website looks good and it seems very professional. It looks like you guys are doing well. You don't use the SLO live anymore? You have a Splawn? I have a bad memory

having a manager is definitely a plus. one less thing to worry about and also someone to kick you in the ass when needed. also a guy we have known for many years, so none of the usual management worries.
as for the SLO, i actually sold it to a buddy of mine a few months ago. he had been bugging me to sell it far awhile and i finally did. i planned on just getting another one made with a couple of mods (depth and half power) but then i saw the splawn (which costs about $1500 less) and figured i would give it a shot.
i will probably still get an SLO when i get the money together as the 2 (Quick Rod/SLO) sound nothing alike.
