yea, Steve Vai and Zappa were sponsored to play em...I did a practice session with one and was AMAZED at the sound it had...not bad for a cheaper amp...had to have the EQ though! I coldn't believe the bottom end. agreed EQ was a must! had the orinigal ts-808 in front along with a NEW Ibanez all in one floor effects unit. cutting edge! hahah. it was a very defined amp for that day. I plugged into a Gibson Explorer to a beat to h=LL CryBaby then into an MXR distortion + (argggh) or (later) a new DOD 250 (that I had modded back then by EVH amp guy Alejandro??) and into 100 watt Marshall full or 1/2 stack (sometimes 2 stacks if I wanted to borrow one and show off) controlled volume on guitar. Borrowed/saved big time to get the Marshall stack.. the stupid MXR dist plus just made a bunch of feedback...in 77' I had to borrow Marshalls to play...borrowed an echoplex every once in a while too...

I think the thing I miss most is the Roland space echo 201 and the ts-808. pretty cool. and all the amps. I really wish I still had them. There where soo many cool things..
