I read a thread over at Harmony Central from Derek at rocksolidamps and he was saying that Scott is working on a new model called the Top Fuel that has a metal voicing. Supposidly based off of Fear Factory's tone on Demanufacture. Anyone heard or know anything about this amp?

I don't know if they are going to talk to much about it right now even if they were. They are still working on the Super stock, so im assuming that they may be too busy to work up a new design.

and then there is that midi implementation thing he was thinking about.. Scott is getting a good list together!
but.. I bet he can make a top fuel though fairly easy from a pro-mod base design.

Yeah, i talked to Josh about 3-4 times today and asked him about it. said the Super Stock and midi implementation are about the only new things they are working on. Like they say, it's better to call and ask than just assume something you heard on a forum.

I'd love to have an amp where the QR's OD side is duplicated 2 or 3 times, with each channel having its own tone controls and gears. There's so many great tones available and it would kick ass if there was a 4 channel QR!

If it was just someone on the forum I would tend to think it might be BS but I was only askin cause he's a dealer.

I heard scott mention the new amp as well, so it is a reality...as far as how far along it is, I'm not sure

this top fuel model sounds pretty interesting...i'd love to see splawn come out with a JVM type 4 channel monster.
although i gotta tell, my first gen QR still is amazing...we were jamming sweet home alabama last week at practice and it got the exact sound using the clean channel then we jammed some white wedding and foo fighters tunes and the overdrive was perfect...still very versatile even w/ just 2 channels...

I hear ya on that Vom.........I'm definately intrigued at the thought of a high-gain metal type Splawn but even still I don't think I would rush right out to sell mine to get it. I've had my amp now for a few months and I gotta say everytime I turn around I can find another good tone with this amp and am really just starting to get used to it. This amp just doesn't want to sound bad even with extreme EQ settings. I guess it depends on just how bad@ss this new amp is. ;D
