Went ahead and ordered Competition today. Been planning it for awhile but couldnt decide between Comp or QR. My classic 50 has a nice clean IMO so I opt for the comp so I can get a 2x12 also. Scott is a super nice guy and so pleasent to deal with. He seemed very excited about the Guitar World interest. Like Davo said, the wait could grow longer than 12 weeks after Craig shows what these amps can do.

It feels great to know that I got mine when I did! It feels good to know that I helped Scott out as much as I could with getting the word out and doing the Quick Rod Logo. Its awesome that Scott gave me the chance to do that logo! Wouldn't that be killer if Guitar World used that logo in the artical? AAAHHH.........wishfull thinking! But if the logo did appear in GW.........I would be so excited I wouldn't know what to do! LOL

whoa,, what a night..
We had a good show with the exception of a few drum glitches and kick-drum mics farting out on us. All-in-all I think the GW guy was way impressed. He came up during soundcheck and I showed him everything and let him examine the head front and back. He was immediately impressed with the high quality components etc.. Her gave me his business card to hook up again soon too. He said he couldn't hang long, so I think he left somewhere in the 2nd set.
TJ on the other hand closed the joint down with me,, hahaha!! TJ is is da man! I think we drank about 87 beers and I had a few shots of Patron.. Dude was in town for 3 days probably hasn't touched a guitar all week and we got him up and he busts out Eruption/You Really Got me like the pro that he is and completely 0wned it. I'm not gay, but he is even more handsome in person,, LMAO.. We had a blast. We had a pretty good crowd and I think he got the full Dirrty Craig experience.. which is to say,, "not for everyone".. LMAO.. We were so loud I thought I saw the GW guy have a bowel movement on the way out, I have pictures,, some of which may be illegal in some states,, but I'm working on gathering them right now. ALOT of people brought cameras and unfortunately I didn't get to take many myself unfortunately.

Man that night was killer! Craig's Quick Rod was just rippin! Music was great and Craig's guitar playing was awesome to say the least. I think I honestly drank at least half the Keg of Sam Adam's Oktoberfest at that club. LOL!!! THe Mansel guitar is just amazing! Craig's neck on that thing is like a baseball bat. Killer guitar. I want one! Great band! It was awesome playing with them and singing harmony. Thanks Craig for letting me sit in with you all.

Thats it, I gotta load my Mansel up and drive to Florida for a weekend! LOL TJ, you are right about the Mansel. The neck is like a baseball bat. Its a great chunky tone! I would like to hear Craigs band sometime.

Oh man I forgot about the singing part,, LOL.. Some girl was there who requested Bon Jovi for her birthday.. We don't do any Bon Jovi, but we managed to fake our way through Dead or Alive with our drummer singing and TJ did all the Richie Sambora harmony parts while I butchered my way through the guitar parts,, ahaha that was funnny.

I would like to hear Craigs band sometime. Craig, you gotta record us a couple of songs from the soundboard or something! Heck yeah man that would be awesome.. we could have a little splawn party one night at a gig, then have a cookout and pool party at my place the next day,, I'm famous for my hot-tub action,, that is to say getting many, many beautiful girls together in my hot tub at once.  I never record the band because its all covers.. I would never record a cover tune. |
