My first post on here. I am known as UberXTC over at the HCAF and the Gear Page, but that will soon change.
Anyway, I'm joining the Splawn club here as soon as I get my Pro Mod. It is scheduled to be built the week of March 27th. The wait sucks.
Also, I just sold off two of my 2x12's and I just ordered a Splawn 4x12 today. That should be done in 2 weeks. So I will have the cab before the Pro Mod.

Welcome man! You have no idea the level of tone you are about to get into. The Splawn stuff is a step above! My last one was the older Pro Mod, but I sold it to get the new Quick Rod. I should have mine March 27th. So you are the week after me!

Thanks for the welcome. I have two great amps now, both Bogner's an XTC 101b and an Uber that is going to get the Pro Mod. I liked the huge sound of the Uber, but I wanted a little tighter bottom end and some upper mids. I hope the Pro Mod will make me not regret getting rid of the Uber. I can't wait to hear the XTC thru the Splawn Cab.
Can I ask why you got rid of the Pro Mod? Did you not like the KT88 power section? What type of music do you play? Can the PM do the heavy chugga, chugga thing well?
Thanks, JC

The Pro mod can do everything. It's a great amp. You'll love it.

I wish there were more Pro Mod clips floating around. There's ton's of Quickrod clips. Not many people buying the Pro Mod and even less doing clips. Oh well. I will play thru mine in due time. Hopefully it will bring a big old grin to my face that I won't be able to wipe away. One good thing is I will already have the matching cab there waiting for it's partner!

Man, I am a classic hard rock kind of guy. I loved the KT88s, but for me, the EL34s work better. I am into classic Van Halen, Ratt, AC/DC, old Def Leppard, Judas Priest, Paul Gilbert, etc. It just seems to work better!

Yeah, I finally made it over. Couldn't think of a username for a while. I know I am always in search for TONE whether it be pedals or amps, so I thought the name fit. (and no, my first name isn't John).
Anyway, if anyone can get me links to more Pro Mod clips it would be greatly appreciated (besides the ones already on the Splawn site).

Hey Welcome JohnnyQuest! I am a Pro Mod owner and I love it. Its the newer model as well, and don't worry I don't think you will be dissapointed. If you like the heavier chugging riffs then I would say you made the right decision. The QR w/ EL34's seems to suit those looking for 80's sounds and classic rock. If you want classic Marshall with a modern edge than the PM delivers! Super tight and articulate with thunderous bass. I wish I had some clips to give you and I agree that the PM doesn't get much rrespect as it deseves with all these d@mn QR owners. We need more PM clips! I have no means to record and the album I am making with the amp is dead in the water because we have no $$$ . I could send you some real rough song clips of the PM in action if you want but I will say that I am reluctant to give out unfinished album clips. Not that I think someone will steal the riffs or anything, I just don't like unfinished versions of our songs floating around misrepresenting the band. Anywho, congrats on the Splawn!

Welcome man! I'll probably end up getting a Pro-mod one of these days,, but I too prefer the EL34 spank for what I'm doing. The Pro-mod rocks though like Don said.
