Really, It's that GOOD? ?? I have an original mxr flanger, but it's alittle noisey due to lack of "true bypass". How's the noise ratio and the true bypass effect? How much did you pay, may I ask? Later, Chuck

I tried one out at GC and loved it and was going to buy it,but,
18 volt power? ok so I don't wanna do the battery thing($), so I need the adaptor ,right? "Oh sorry...we don't have any 18 volt adaptors".. WTF? at GC no less...! No sale that day.Maybe later after I save a few more dollars.

i have the mxr reissue which sounded pretty cool until my fx loop crapped out. Anywhoo, you can get a cool "whammy" effect if you turn the first knob all the way to the left, put the middle two knobs right around 10-11 o'clock, and crank the last knob. It's not the sweetest for chords, but hit the open a string, and it'll sound like a cheap man's whammy. Of course, $170 ain't too cheap.

Unchained is one of my fav's. However, BOOO on Musicians Fiend...they've ripped me off for the last time. I'll check locally.

my only gripe with MXR stuff is no true bypass.. thats why I've always preferred the ADA '79 reissue flanger.. and its a little crisper too on the top end. Is this new one true-bypass?

jeeeesh,, your not suppose to leave it on the whole riff,, LMAO. Based on those clips I think the ADA sounds ALOT better.

you can't go off of MF clips... trust me...it has the sound...i'm psyched...
and i agree, you're not supposed to have that on for the whole riff...you need to turn it on and off at the right parts
