Juan Croucier of Ratt on Bass by the way! And I didn't know that Don Dokken could play guitar well enough to do all the backing in those days........especially doing the lead work on Young Girls?

from what i remember reading...don was pretty good guitar player and lynch didn't want him playing any leads...this was part of the animosity those 2 had back in the day....

Lightning Strikes is a great tune. I relearned it after watching YouTube. Don was a pretty good guitar player. I am sure George felt threatened. Didn't want to ruin his ego!

Y'know it's interesting. In the early days both Don and George sang and played guitars. But somewhere along the way a line was drawn in the sand and Don was the singer w/ no guitar and George was the guitarist but didn't do backup vocals. Interesting...I guess it's apart of the whole fighting like Tooth and Nail thing in that everyone had their own turf.
