Yep, you read right! Tonight I will be enjoying the soothing sounds of the Maestro. He will be playing The Neighborhood Theatre here in Charlotte. I can't wait! I'm taking one of my pickguards with hopes that I can get him to sign it....fingers crossed! I'll use it to build an Yngwie tribute Strat. Here's the link to current tour info. www.yngwie.org/TourDates.htm

JAM ON!!! Enjoy.. review expected!! LOL I havent seen him in years! let us know if he needs to go on a diet like the rest of us old guys! The show started with Orange Sky. I think they said they were from Trinidad? Anyhow...they played an interesing blend of Reggae Metal. Sounds odd I know but it worked surprisingly well. The are the best opening act I've seen in years. Plus, the lead singer played a Dean Dime-O-Flame ML...i think, so they had to be cool. Yngwie's band opened with Rising Force and He played all of his greatest masterpieces, like Far Beyond the Sun, Trilogy, Exile, Locked & Loaded, I'll See theLight Tonight, Demon Driver, Rise Up, Baroque & Roll, and many more. You could tell he was really having fun! It was good to see the joy in his playing and the appreciation he had for his fans as many aging rockers have retired to their "nest egg" or their ego is too big or twisted that they don't want to tour. At the end of the show he was very gracious and signed all kinds of items for the fans....yes, I got my pickguard signed! I'll post pics when I can. Oh, the weight issue....he has lost some. When I saw him with G3 he was chunky...but lastnight he looked slimmer. Now, he's still a big guy mind you....I wouldn't call him fat but I can tell that he's lost weight. Some of his audience should take clues from him as there were serveral chunkers there.....and they all seemed to be wearing mini-skirts....ewwww! LONG LIVE YNGWIE! Later, Patrick

HAHAHA LMAO!! Yea the mini skirt thing.. it was the same way here when Motley Crue played.. Vince was over weight.. so where the groupies.. and in a big way.. wearing short little mini's, I try to forget it.. wipe from my memories.. it wont go away! AARRGGH LOL...
Great song lineup.. glad he was having fun. that makes it a great show. I saw jefferson starship just before they broke up.. it was a very down and out concert.
Thanks for the review! Nice job

Wait by his tour bus after the show. Eventually, the tour mgr will show up and gather items to take into the bus and YNG will sign. We had to wait about an hour before the signing began so be patient. Oh, and NO pictures when by the bus. I'm not sure why but some dude here in Charlotte challenged the rule and was asked to leave by security. Later, Patrick

I also heard "no twinkies or ho-ho's by the bus too".
Thats funny.. I wouldn't ask for anything to be signed. I'm not into that sort of thing at all. Hes just a guitar player.

He's just a guitar player? I suppose Rembrant is just a painter? BLASPHEMY I say, BLASPHEMY! ;D DC, I checked on ebay about signed pickguards...which is what I got signed..and they are listing between $175 and $225 bucks. You could pay for your tickets and a truck load of beer if you took a pickguard to get signed and sold on ebay..... So, take something to get signed and make a couple of bucks. That's all I'm saying... Patrick
