I know there are many great player's that have emerged over the years that have never gotten much attention and I think Neil Geraldo of Pat Benatar is certainly one of them. IMO his songwriting arrangements are top notch as well as his solos.. I compare some of his better solo stuff is up there with VH.. Listen to tracks such as "precious times" "fire and ice" "promises in the dark" etc... Just killer stuff.

You know he's the one behind all the Rick Springfield hits. I'm man enough to say it, I like Rick Springfield. That guy is a great performer and has some killer tunes. "Love somebody" is a great song. Not sure if that's Neil playing the lead on that one or not. It sure sounds like him. My buddy (a drummer) got to sit in with Pat and Neil in Canada last year. Said it was just flat out awesome!

I always loved Geraldo's playing. When I was a very young child I remember being caught by his leads and they still hold up today. Plus he was banging the singer,,, you gotta love that. Then he married her and they had kids and stuff,, crazy.

Personally I don't think Pat Benatar is that attractive even in her youth. She has a kind of a monkey mouth thing goin on. Nice figure though. Either way great singer and great band. Never seen their daughter. There are millions of attractive women out there I just can't find one for myself. I guess not making a living plus living with the folks and having a chronic condition doesn't help. Though I am relatively good looking didn't help me one bit. Some of the ugliest dudes hook up with hot chicks... I'll never get it?  I know its the money/funny thing... |

geraldo is a true hero of mine...check out the dvd with benatar at new haven during the 80s...the guy is such a great player...
+1 on being a fan of rick springfield also
