I have always liked the production. Kind of different compared to everything else!

the guitars sound 'thin' no 'sac'....they need a few QuickRods and Fast!....BEFORE FINAL PRODUCTION!.....I remember now... "Operation Thin Guitars" they've always had crummy production and guitar sound IMO, I still like mindcrime though..but the production sucked this is blasphemous...but then again you guys think randy had horrible tone....

Oh, check out the newest live dvd. It got everything on there. Its called Live Evolution. I believe they are using Bogner rack mounted preamps..........at least thats what Wilton was using! Queen of the Ryche and Take Hold of the Flame sound the best on the DVD!

it was 1988...QR was on tour supporting mindcrime opening up for metallica who were on their first headlining tour behind ...and justice for all... st. patrick's day...hartford...actually there's well known video of the metallica performance... anyway, my buddies and i lived mindcrime...i mean lived...we were always QR fans but that album was a masterpiece...2 of us had 3rd row seats on the floor for the show...and the other 2 had like 5th row... anyway...QR gets on and they get no respect...imagine all of the arena just milling around, sitting in their seats, not applauding... except for 2 guys going absolutely crazy in the third row ( i was 20 years old...forgive me ;D)...me and my buddy are fookin going sick singing along to every word/playing air guitar...just lunacy...the entire rest of the arena is doing nothing... during certain parts we're pointing up to the stage singing along....geoff/michael/chris are pointing back at us...it's like this for the entire 45 minutes...after the encore, michael screams down to me, "hey"...and throws me his guitar pick...hits me dead in the chest...i mean, we're like 40 feet away...that's quite incredible to throw a guitar pick that far with accuracy... i know those guys went backstage and were like, did you see those crazy mofos in the front! ;D ah....good times....
