www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=440427Scarified and Night Ranger 2 are the new ones. I re-recorded Don't Tell Me You Love Me as someone requested. I would recommend scrolling down to the first clip I did of that song then listen to the new one. That will give a good comparison of the Splawn Modded Marshall to the Quick Rod. Scarified kicked my butt guys. I played the song one week ago for like 6 hours straight. I didn't play guitar for like 3 days after that, then I practiced the song like crazy for the rest of the week. I found that practicing the song faster than the recording helped make it alot easier. I was so mad that I could not get it right last week. Thats the main reason I didn't play for like 3 days! LOL I did what I could with it though.

Mott,
I gotta say great attempt at that racer x tune. Even though you are hackin here and there you held it together pretty good. I could never play any of that neo classical stuff. My buddy used to listen to that album all the time.

That is the hardest thing I have ever tried to play! I may try to rerecord it down the road. With more practice I will get better. I knew I was hackin, and I wasn't going to post it. I figured why not ya know? I like the Night Ranger tune the best cause I finally learned how to pan the rhythm guitars right and left. Here is what I did:
left channel: gear 1 - OD1 right channel: gear 1 - OD2
I like the combo of OD1 and OD2.

I tell ya Motrock, you are playing like a animal.. it shows your playing level has increased alot! nice job!! way to hang in there on scarified! we bow to your dedication.
Thanks for the comparison clip. the splawn mansel did great.. but I also liked the original tones from the mod'ed marshall! the bottom end wasnt quite there with the marshall but the mids are great. I am still in love with the marshall sound of the 80's, and sometimes that marshall sound can only be had from a marshall. with a splawn mod of coarse! I heard some things from the original night ranger that really sounded great.
Thanks for posting!!

Thanks man. I have to keep pushing myself. Even if it means trying to record totally insane stuff! Tomarrow I am going to record a bunch of small clips for a friend of mine. I could have gotten more lowend on my clips, but I used 1st gear. 2nd gear sounds a lot like the Marshall did. The Ozzy tune I did with the Quick Rod has 2nd gear and A LOT MORE LOWEND! The Quick Rod is much louder than my Marshall was. Scott told me it was because the Quick Rod has the Heybor Transformers.

I really want to record some original stuff, but it just sounds strange with no drums or bass. Thats the only reason that I don't do it. If I had the money I would buy that drum program that BOZ uses. I am having some fun though. I have this bad habit of buying a cd and when I get home I try to learn it. Did that yesterday with the House of Lords album Demons Down.
Notice one thing about my clips. I am stuck in 1st gear......with the exception of Miracle Man which was in 2nd gear. I think I am going to tune 1/2 step down and do some 2nd and 3rd gear stuff.

Hey Motrock, Awesome clips....Are you using any effects through your quickrod or is it just your mansel and amp (dry signal)? Your sound is great. What kind of recording equipment are you using? Thanks for your time and continue to post more clips. I'm digg'in them.
