I was meaning to post this on my Bday, 23rd but got side-tracked. This is a NICE backing track that I put some licks too. Nothing fast/fancy but was kind'a feeling a Knofler/Ford kind'a thing. Sorry...It's a slow groove with my slow licks. I had just refurbished a Japan-made Octavia pedal that I bought at a garage sale for 5 bucks ;D This is my Korean/SX Strat, Octavia into the Pro-Stock mic'd to the the VS-880EX. 4 tracks, two for the BT and two for lead and fills. Maybe this will help convince the low-gainers of the Splawn's versatility. Be gentle huh ? Just had a BD..."One day older another day shorter of breath" LOL home.comcast.net/~n0fx/jazzfunk.mp3

very, very nice 'feel' your playing and tone are spot on! Larry Carlton like...you need to change your name to: 'someFX'....easily the best sounding clip I've heard on this entire forum! BTW: 'don't be afraid to care, look around chose your home ground...don't sit down it's time to dig another one'

Thanks all !!! and yes Craig...I'm Tim Newton. I posted two clips when I first got my Pro-Stock on Splawn's site (Back when he was hurti'n for clips- LOL) When I post on HCF I have like 4/5 of my fav's right in my signature. It's usually limited to my ISP storage space. Also...If anybody wants a crack at the backing tracks I still have a few and just email me at: tnewton40@hotmail.com and I'll send 'em back as attachments. Lately I simply don't have time to record anymore. Thanks again dudes...your ALL awesome players BTW.

Your STP clip was the first clip of the Splawn stuff other than Scotts 2 clips that I heard. I remember Scott had that 1 page with like 1 paragraph and 1-3 clips. Thats where it all started for me. Now look where we are at!!!!!!!!!

Donald....got your email. I'll send you a couple of BT's that will be plenty long enough. Most of the BT's I have are relatively good some are outstanding. Yes some BT's are short and need to be "doctored" to make them longer. I use Sony Soundforge to splice/edit some to make them longer. Most of the time it's actually pretty seamless. I'll send them sometime tonight after 6pm MST. BTW I usually get most of these right off HCF.
