This amp lacks any "tonal deception". You get out of it what you put into it. It will force you to become a better player. That is what is happening to me and I am thankful for it. Hang in there and listen to the advice of the guys on the board that have had these amps for a long time. I haven't had mine for very long but I really appreciate what this amp can do, and I am getting more compliments on my tone than ever. Rock on.
