going up to dallas to try one of these out for myself here in a few weeks...gonna compare it to my slanted marshall cab with a governer gt-75 X-pattern
i really like how the marshall cuts thru, and lets you hear the midrange...but it is a bit lacking in the low end dept. compared to my splawn straight cab...so if i really dig the new splawn, i'll probably be taking one home with me...if i prefer the marshall, i'm gonna have them give it an overhaul (plywood back, new handles, tolex, grille, the full monty)
i played one of their modded marshall cabs before with my cobra, and really liked it...so either way, i'm leaving a great sounding cab

...still waitin on my tax return speaking of that...we had some storms come through here last week...knocked down trees, etc...it blew down my fence...now, i need $12,000 to replace it... ...i'm sad... |

that sucks Vom,, having gone through 4 hurricanes, I had some damage myself, but nothing that bad..
I talked to Scott, my new slant cab ships next week..

yeah , that's 6.857 splawns... Wonder if you get a quantity discount? help even that out to 7. I freak out every tornado season here. just wondering when the big one will wipe me out. I probably should put my name and number on the splawn so when it lands someone can call me and let me know what part of the country its in.. LOL,.. |

12 grand for a fence??? dude, that had to have been one big ass property! sorry to hear it not really, you'd be surprised how expensive fences are...my backyard's about a 1/4 acre...my sister has the smallest backyard i've ever seen...she had a fence put in so the kids could play...it cost her $4000, and that was the cheapest offer... yea lumber is through the roof right now.. a few years ago I put a wood pole with plastic coated wire fence around 3/4 acre, $4300, now its 3x as much. and we are usually a bunch cheaper in Oklahoma. |
