Ok, but if i plug the pedal board into the front, then engage the effects loop button, nothing will happen correct?? Doesnt the effects loop need to be completed, Your post didnt come out clearly The FX Loop Volume Control should work whether there is something in the loop or not. One way to find out. Try it. Wow!! Dude..Holy Sh$$ thats awsome!! Lol..i have been wondering what Scott meant by, you being able to use the Effects loop volume as an extra feature, to be able to push the power tubes in the amp, to get that Natural Tube breakup, but adjust the overall volume, all the way down too bedroom level..however the instruction manual, doesn't , really state anything about this feature in detail. So ive been wondering,.that since you normally plug in Time based effects into an effects loop..or as i thought , had to complete the loop to use it, the. How does this all work?? And now it all makes sense…you can as you said, not have anything plugged into the effects loops, and by simply pushing the switch, you basically activate, this entire feature…i just did it, thats amazing…this is almost like giving the amp variable wattage? Scott was very modest in , describing this feature

Like I said, I wasn’t sure about needing something plugged into the loop or not so now that you’ve confirmed that it’s not needed, hopefully someone else sees this thread when they have the same question! It really is an amazing feature. And has little to no tone loss, at least to my ears.

No, i dont think there is any tone loss..of anything, it sounds better, especially using ny strat in the neck position So to anyone , with a Splawn QuickRod 100, or 50 with the effects loop volume. This amp has a feature where you can use the effects loop volume, to control the over all volume of the amp…(After being able to push the power tubes) To do this, turn your effects loop volume, down to 0…bring up your drive channel volume up to around 10AM, but no further than 12…(Dont go any further then 12) Set your gain, to 12,then you can mess with it, …on back of your amp, there will be the effects loop, Output bypass button..push it in, and now the effects loop volume is active…(You dont need anything plugged into your effects loop to use this feature. Plug your guitar into the front of the amp, and slowly bring up your effects loop volume from the back, to adjust to what you want for loudness…now you can push the amp, to get the tubes to break up, without blowing your heart out of your chest…. WARNING…..Mind the volume level, in the front panel of the amp, before you press the effects loop bypass, on off switch…if you push the switch in again, you will be going right from the front of the amp again, meaning if you have the Channel 1/ Channel 2 volume to 12, then you will be in for a surprise…i learned this the hard way

Oh….I should also mention, even though I think you already know. Don’t go too high with the front panel volume or else you will run out of headroom and the solo boost feature won’t properly boost your solo volume to the level you need it.

Glad it all works Historic. Yes, it is a great feature. My only suggestion different would be:
Turn the Effects Loop Volume Level all the way up. Crank your amp and gain and boost pedals and OD2 and guitar and everything up past what is comfortable (with ear plugs) and then bring your Effects Loop Volume down to reasonable. That way, you are getting all the goodness. In other words, do it with your ears.

No i actually didnt but thank you.I was wondering why it says in the manul not to go past 12…and i thought it was because i would be pushing the power tubes too much, for nothing? Causing excessive wear. But that makes sense
