Thanks again guys! Yeah, that Dano 6 band really is a decent EQ especially for the money. Got the Mullard Reissue EL34s in finally from GC online but have not had chance to try them or test their mA. The '78 distortion pedal is cool but really only geared from clean channels and I don't play on clean channels very often and when I do, it is because I'm going for a clean tone. Kind of reminds me of the Crunch Box (which might have been an MI Audio pedal). Really digging the Slash Wah. Just the right amount of 'wah' and sweep for what like and not very noisy. I can't speak to the buffer stuff on this - I know some hear have complained about MXR Crybabys robbing tone? Suhr Koko boost is probably a keeper. Lots of options on this guy. Super happy with the EL34 II's that PDC turned me onto. I dog Eurotubes a lot but they really did well on this transaction and the tubes came in at exactly what I asked for: 34mA Lastly really couldn't be happier with the Zoom Q2n4K and accessories I'm since got. Yeah looking at some specs, the Slash wah is "true hardwired bypass" which means it's not true bypass but likely doesn't have a buffer in there. gtrjunior and I both had the "auto on" version of the Crybaby (95Q version) and the buffer in there was pretty terrible. Although it sounded fine on my Blackstar it was awful with my Splawn. Anyway, the Slash model obviously doesn't have that problem! Yeah, that was the issue. I didn't even bother to check the Slash Wah prior. It was just sitting in the used pedal case so I took a chance. So far so good. Nice and quiet at high volumes.

I'm hesitant to create a thread on this here out of respect but Splawn Amplification now has a dedicated subforum on Rig-Talk in the manufacturers section. Scott wouldn't have started it, I want to say it was RT user kmanick? Rare, because in the old days you had to represent and answer questions in those subforums if you wanted your own for your brand. www.rig-talk.com/forum/forums/splawn-amplification.99/Anyway, I thought I'd bring it up as this forum is about dead and there is much more activity on Rig-Talk. Even without the subforum there are so many people there with Splawns that if you have a question or want to talk about Splawn, there are probably at least 20 guys that are active right now that either have one or had one that you can have a discussion. I still check in here from time to time and will continue to answer PMs but there just isn't much left here sad to say. Keep on rockin' Your friend, 311splawndude

Aside from the die hards, yourself, me, gtrjunior, briman and shmasty it's pretty dead. Bummer... But there's a ton of great info on here that can be searched.

Agreed....I wish there was more activity here as well. I’ll check out RT again. I had some issues with posting there a while back. Hopefully the newest update they did fixed that.

cvogue briman gtrjunior (the rest of you guys)
I hate that it has come to this. I will still check in every now and then. Also, not trying to push any given forum. I have no business affiliations with Rig-Talk, Splawn Amplificaiton, Scott Splawn, Proboards or anything else for that matter. Just one of you guys. I just like talking about Splawn amps, amps that are like Splawn, and amps in general.
Rig-Talk is really the only guitar/amp forum that I frequent. I pop into GuitarGearForum, Ultimate Guitar and TGP every now and then. Kyle Bull (Bad.Seed) for example is constantly posting amp videos on Rig-Talk and he has several Splawns. I saw on FB that he actually just got another one (used) but the headshell was severely cracked upon shipping. There are also some very lively debates about Splawn vs Marshall or Friedman or Wizard or Cameron or Larry or _______fill in the blank.
See you guys around. Love and Peace Splawndude
