Congrats on your mod. Jens is a really cool guy and does clean work. For what its worth I purchased a ENGL SAVAGE 120 that already had Jens "Cannibal" mod done to it and it is a cool feature. However... This is my opinion on changing anything about a QR and let me preface this by saying I mean no disrespect with what I have to say. Its just an opinion. Im blown away that anyone would want to modify an already killer amp. I have a 2018 fully loaded QR and see no reason to modify it one bit. The tone is already phenomenal , so to change it from what Scott intended seems crazy to me. If I want a modern metal tone I will fire up my ENGL SAVAGE 120. The whole reason I got the QR was for the flexibility within the 3 gears to achieve everything from AC/DC , early Van Halen and George Lynch / Warren DeMartini tones. Which are all in there. Once you get it back give us a video review as I am curious to hear if you think it was all worth it. Cheers.

Worse case scenario and I dont like it then I will just sell it and get a fully loaded 2019 50 watt. I had originally just wanted to get the B+, mid cut, and old/new switch but they told me the transformer was too old. I spoke to someone who had theirs done to make sure I wasnt screwing myself out of the gears and OD options. At any rate I will know in a few more days.

Yup, just looked it up, it's there... cvogue is starting to feel a GAS attack coming on! But for now my Street Rod will do nicely.

No, you absolutely undeniably NEED to call Scott and order a Quickrod...RIGHT NOW!!! 😁

You buy a SPLAWN because its a SPLAWN. The Quickrod is amazing on its own. In fact its the BEST amp I have ever owned. If you cant get the tone you are looking for from this amp then I dont know what to tell you. This is my opinion and Im sticking to it. Cheers guys.

I guess it just wasn’t what he was looking for. There are lots of great amps available. I own 4 tube amps and they all are good at what they do. Too bad he didn’t like it. Even though he was a member here for only a short time, he brought several good discussions to the forum. I hate to lose another member when there’s only a few of us left as it is.

I'm not going anywhere. Yeah I ended up selling it. The mod gave it a lot of sizzle and was a lot easier to play. I actually put both amps up for sell as I had an unexpected bill come up so I had to get rid of one of the two heads I had. The Quick Rod sold but the Nitro didnt so I'm keeping it. It was basically down to which ever one would sell.

As far as the mod goes I think it would be on par with with getting a fully loaded Quick Rod which is what I was gunning for. It was easier to play, some added clarity, and a little bit more responsiveness with the EQ. It sucks to that I had to get rid of it. At one point I thought I was going to get to keep it after I posted it for sale then that fell through. Thankfully the guy who bought it came through so I could take the Nitro ad down before it sold. It would really suck to be completely ampless.
