I dropped the amp off yesterday and ended up spending about 4 hours just talking and playing guitar with Manny!! One step at a time. My wallet appreciates that. Lol I like this approach. Especially if he is close by. Nice and slow. Methodical. Not too much at one time. That way, you can better gauge what changes you like/don't like and for what reasons - instead of everything at once.

I ordered a set of tubes and a set of filter caps the other day and had them all set up to deliver to my tech’s house. They were supposed to be delivered yesterday but when I looked at the tracking, it shows the post office has sent them back to the shipper (tube depot) claiming that no such address exists.
I looked on google earth and this particular post office is less than a half mile from the destination address. Unbelievable
I emailed tube depot and told them the package was being returned but that I still needed it. I also told them I had no issue re-paying the new shipping charge and gave them my home address to ship to this time. They emailed me back and told me that they would absolutely re-ship it when they received it. They didn’t mention anything about having me pay the shipping...

The new tubes/caps came yesterday. Man, tube depot is seriously the absolute best tube supplier I have ever dealt with. Love them.
The caps are a bit smaller than the ones currently in the amp though. The specs are all the same. 50uf/50uf 500V. Maybe they are just made smaller nowadays? The caps in the Splawn are considerably bigger too. Idk, this is my first time replacing caps... I’m sure my tech will know what the deal is.
