Sheesh man, I keep learning more and more about my stuff. Thanks cvogue for the serial decode, because it turns out my amp is a year OLDER than the one owner previous thought. He even gave me his original receipt when he bought it brand spanking new. Must have sat at Squid Music in the OC for a year before it got sold. 😝 Anyways, it’s still okay because as far as I know my year STILL is the same as the updated 4 preamp tube and loop master version from 2009 and on. Question is...DID IT GET UPDATED A SECOND TIME since 2009?! Or do I have a problem. I do recall during all my research, that the older 3 Preamp versions shared some controls, but that supposedly got fixed in the 4 pre update. Anybody know for sure if there was another clean update since??

I’m only aware of one but I’m no expert.

I have had a clean Channel issue with my 2014 Street Rod. For background, we are an actively booking band (70-80 shows per year). When setting up and balancing the volume between clean and drive channel everything would be fine. During the gig (Probably 10 songs in) when I would switch channels, the clean channel would be muted and muffled. Occasionally, it would get better later in the gig. The change was very noticeable. It never would change during a song. Only when switching to the clean channel. Now the issue has gotten worse. The clean channel is always muted and muffles. I have changed tubes with no luck. Scott Splawn was not helpful. He did reply and simply said he had no idea what that might be. I asked where I could get the amp serviced at and he did not reply.
Any Help is appreciated. This is a strange, but very real issue.

I've taken my StreetRod (2016 model) to a local tech, he's one of the best around. My StreetRod blew at an audition a few years ago (flash and then nothing). Tech said there were water spots on a tube and it fried and took the screen resistor with it. He got it totally fixed up tho. Don't know where you are but I'd do some research and find a good tech in your town.
