HOT DAMN
My rig sounds bad ass right now. All 3 amps together is just mind boggling tasty.
So despite some microphonic tubes, some dead tubes, and a potentially low bias it literally has never sounded better. Maybe it is because I put that volume box in the loop and set it to 6/10. Maybe it is because I'm now running a MXR ZAKK OD pedal on QR? Maybe it is because I cranked the bias pot all the way up.
I swear, this happens every time I tear my rig down and put it back together. Maybe just the fact of unconnecting cables and plugging them in snug helps?
Anyway - I wish you guys were here with me to hear this and play it for yourself LOL.
And even with all 3 amps going and micorphonic power tubes I STILL get virtually dead quiet when I mute the strings. Love that.
GTR - is the resistor a screen resistor or what? I can't find it on some of the schems I see online.

Awesome! I am presently trying to get the gear i need to do a wet/dry/wet stereo set up. Gotta buy a harmanizer, stereo power amp and two 1x12 cabs.
My buddy has this set up and it sound so huge and beautiful! Time based effects come out of left and right cabs with + - detune effect and main sound comes out of splawn 4x12 in middle. Sounds freakin incredible. Ear orgasms!

Ha. Thanks,
Yeah - I know what they look like - just having trouble locating. No worries. I have some pics I can look through when the time is right.

Lol....I can easily find it on my amp because the Drop B+ do-hickey is attached to it. If it is in the same general location in your amp it will be to the right of the speaker jacks. (Looking at the back of the amp.)

Might not be a bad idea to email scott and ask him about the bias resistor we are talking about. I’m pretty sure it is the R27 resistor but there’s a chance I’m mistaken on that number. Tell him you’re having trouble getting the bias high enough and you wanted to know about the resistor. Etc.
