Hey guys I'm back from a long and needed vacation. It's been a wile since I've been on the Splawn forum and I just had a few things I wanted to share. So last time I was on here I remember saying I wanted to get a floyd rose installed in one of my PRS. Well I never went to the luthier, instead I bought a nice Craftsman router and a bits. I've always wanted to learn how to install my own floyds without the help of luthiers. True it would have been a good idea to have a professional do it but seeing that it was a bit expensive and I really really wanted to do it myself. So I taped it up took all the measurements and precautions and routed the guitar myself. With a bunch of luck and hard work, I am very pleased to say it came out very well. Congrats on your successful mod!! I knew you could do it !
What are your settings on that video? That was a killer low gain tone, and frankly I'd like to have that in my arsenal!!!

It's a very classic sound, I love it! |

Nice job bud. Trickiest parts is measuring off where to route for scale length and string alignment and secure the body on the router! Looks fantastic!

Now that I've done this one I think I'll do another one this week! I'm so glad I did it myself, but I still have to be very aware of my measurements. One wrong move and your patching up the guitar and painting it a solid color... |

Kinda why I bought the bias probe....it's nice to be able to do the work yourself and save a couple bucks too
