Yep when you look at the pictures use the ones that have the red and blue lines .. Keep us posted on how it goes. I can PM you my number if you want and can help you over the phone tonight if that will help you. Thanks man!! Unfortunately for me I won't be able to look at this tonight. Due to unforeseen circumstances I'm working 3rd shift this week. But I appreciate the offer!

Finally had a chance to hook up the Boss NS-2 with the X-pattern. I'm happy to say it worked great. My ISP G-String is actually much smoother but he Boss did the job too.
Thanks guys, for all your help. I've been playing guitar for 25+ years but never really used the fx loop. How embarrassing!! lol

I never run delays in front, it's like the delay gets all messed up! Seems to me to alot cleaner and clearer.

I've owned my JCM 800 for over 10 years and since it's not a high gain amp I always plug into the clean (low) input and use a pedal to "preamp" it. Similar to how guys used rack preamps in the 80's. This way I can basically turn a single channel amp into 2 channels. Whoever owned my amp before me had a tube driven fx loop built into the amp, but I just never used it! So in this case the delays and reverb sound good up front still. I do have an Orange micro dark terror that I use as a backup amp and reverb and delays sound terrible in front of that amp. So in that case they sound best in the loop.

I've never owned a JCM800 but I would be cranking up that amp and getting some serious tone without pedals. You have a unique amp. Here is how I run my QR. Top 3 pedals in the loop. Bottom row is straight in. Gear 2. I'm not really a pedal guy though - they are just there for fun. I also do not gig.

If I just cranked it up its only capable of a classic rock type tone. Not what I'm after. Plus it's too loud for practical purposes to do that. If you want a modern tone you need to preamp it somehow. The 2205/2210 models use diode clipping in addition to the regular gain structure but that's not the model I have.

I sold my Voodoo modded jcm800 and I thought it had more low end than the QR, but that's what the MOD does. That amp had so much girth. But it was so stiff, compared to the QR, QR was squishy. But I dont regret selling it, that amp had no soul.

I'm surprised to hear that it was stiff...I considered having mine modded by them and in their website in the descriptions of the mods they advertise the mods as making the amp more musical and playable with easy pinch harmonics etc. maybe I misunderstood the description but in my mind they make it sound like the mods are the exact opposite of stiff....

Well my amp was a 1987 and was modded in 1990, I was COVERED with epoxy. I sent them pic and they were like "whaat!!" Bcs they hadn't done that in forever. I've never played an original jcm800 until I sold mine, and wow the difference! I could not believe the difference, I mean the original suck so bad in comparison with the voodoo modded one. Yeah I bet that Voodoo says it makes it more better, bcs it really does. The MOD addes so much lower end tightness, day and night..

Someone that owned my amp before me added a tube driven fx loop and my tech clipped the bright caps and did a mod that gets a little more bass out of the amp. Not a huge difference but noticeable to the player. But like I said....without preamping this amp it's only capable of classic rock tones. Think early whitesnake but without all the chorus. Lol

OR they were preamping with something like the ADA MP-1. I think that's why JCM800's were so popular. They took input from other sources so well.
