Should I buy used or new...

I have the chance to buy a used 2007 competition or order a new one.  Are there any major circuit/tone advantages in getting the new one?  I know it has the loop volume but any opinions on which year might is better?

New all the way, you get the latest updates, warranty and plus the main thing it keeps me a job!!!!!

Went used in the end and not disappointed! Can see myself ordering a Super Comp as well at some point.

Only thing i'm not loving is the tolex colour. Has anyone ever converted the JCM 800 style head shell to either the plexi or Nitro style? Where and how big are the piping the channels?
