congrats on the third gear enabled monster =D no biggie about the chicken head knobs....but it's about time you saw the light with the pro mod case...lol Yeah Physical Graffitti is awesome. We do shows with them all the time and their singer is an old ex-bandmate of mine too. Johnny will be killin on the Splawn... Heres how it started. We did a benefit over the summer together for MDA. We headlined so we had the backline. So Johnny was checking out the head during my soundcheck and he was like DUDE WHAT IS THAT?. So he asked me to play his whole set through my rig, I'm like yeah sure. Man it sounded killer playin the Zep stuff. He didn't even adjust a knob, he was like dude just leave it sounds perfect. And it did... So here we are now a few months later and he got one. Mine, well its snakeskin, pro-mod face plate, thats all I'm saying right now. No biggie, but it should be COOL. No chicken head knobs please. BWWHAHAHAHA. (sorry shreder)

Motrock, that is exactly how I record, plug and play. How come my cips still sound like crap!.. hahahaha I feel frustrated too...This is a two edged sword...on one hand we are all (or most of us..) recording our clips on 'home' recording gear...this is OK at best...pro MICS?....NO!...pro PRE?...NO!...pro BOARD?...NO! ....pro EQ?..NO!...pro COMPRESSION?...NO!... pro MIX?...NO!...pro MASTERING?...NO!...I run my clips flat and to the board...I really do violence to Splawns amp...on the other hand....when people GET the amp they realize how much BETTER it sounds in person...happy that they didn't get sold a bill of goods that someone doctored up in the studio, get it home and you can't get the same sound....if someone listens to my clips and still decides to get a QR, he (or she??) will be very happy...they'll think: 'man, my amp sounds better than that clown on Scott's site...' LOL!! (speaking about myself...)

I experiance the re-color of the eq responce, room and other things when I send it though the system. its somewhat complex , dual mics into mackie mixer and subs channels out to a recording interface into a PC with Cakewalk. I try'd making the recording flexible for other projects. I can record other things great.. but compressed super amps I have always had a prob with. where to shlv them etc.. Like others it gets phased or flat or?? what ever happens. I just need to break down throw money at it. as in compressor Mic Preamp and more!! that will fix it.. then rent a operator! LOL
