Is it a scaled down version of the Pro-Mod and Quick Rod? I'm just a little confused on the different setups between the 3 models. I'd like to keep it simple maybe a 50 watter if there is no real differances between a 50 and a 100. Also is the Pro-Stock the head with the 2 smaller knobs? Thanks in advance.

The Pro Mod and Quick Rod are basically the same amp except the Pro Mod is set up for KT88 tubes ( a little more modern) while the Quick Rod takes EL34's (classic Van Halen and then some). The cabinet is a little different too. Both are 100 watts and have: effects loop, clean (and now have a seprate bass mid and treble for that channel), rythm, and lead channel plus a solo boost, and a half power switch to cut it back to 50 watts.
The Pro stock is kinda like a Quick Rod with no clean channel. There are no 50 watters. Scott is only making 100 watt amps.
Don't get confused by the pictures because Scott just strated adding bass mid and treble EQ knobs to the clean channel so he had to start using a different chassis. The knobs are now all in a row to make them all fit. He used to use a standard Marshall chassis and used two of the inputs for knobs, but that layout doesn't give enough room for the extra three clean EQ knobs. Some of the pictures like that could be a Quick Rod before he changed the chassis.
The Pro Mod has the panel cut out in the cabinet ( with the metal grill or flame maple behind it) and the Quick Rod and Pro Stock have the solid Marshall style cabinet.

So the Pro-Stock doesnt have the extra EQ knobs as the Pro Mod and Quick Rod then? Would any of you have a picture of a Pro-Stock front and rear control plates up close? I would just like to see how it is laid out.
How does the 1/2 power work? Pentode to Triode switch or does it take 2 power tubes out of the line?

i checked with scott on this. the pro stock can come with either the KT88s OR the el34s...so you can basically have either a quick rod or a pro mod without the clean channel....

What's weird about the pro-stock is its the only marshall style chasis he is still using yet the very last nob is not in line with the others. It looks kinda of strange. Just wondering why he didn't change that??

The half power switch takes two tubes out. Scott said he doesn't like the sound of the pentode triode thing very much.
