Had my first gig with my new band (been in it about 2 months) yesterday and it went really well, a lot of fun. I'm always discovering new nuances with this amp. Was playing gear 1 OD2 and it worked really well for some of the more classic rock songs but a lot of what we do is more modern. Went to gear 2 OD1 that has been my standard sound for a while but it sounded a bit dark... kicked it into OD2 and it got edgier and brightened it up. At one point in the gig I just had a big smile on my face... loving the tone. I think I'm going to use gear 2 OD going forward and use gear 3 as my lead tone (with boost when necessary). Santa is bringing me the 4 button footswitch so I can more easily kick it into gear 3. Soooo pleased with this amp.

Awesome bro!!! Did your other guitar player finally compliment your amp? Lol

That was the last band. Old guitarist who fills in now and then really likes it though... he's got an ENGL and is more into 6L6 amps but likes the "organic" sound of my SR.

Just tried out the 4 button footswitch that Santa brought, works like a dream! Not able to crank it up (even in the garage!) with all the relatives around but I noticed that with nothing in the loop and just plugging straight in it "seemed" to sound better than with all my effects involved. Makes sense... as Scott says anything added will affect the tone. Might have to do some effects triage/analysis again (last time I ended up ditching my 95Q wah). But also I didn't get to crank it so that affects things as well. Sounded just awesome though... constantly blown away by the Splawn tone.
