I still recommend Dioxit but you should be fine. Never seen that stuff before. If it works for pots it will certainly work for tube pins.
Honestly, it won't help volume drop issues - it will just make sure sure your pins have a clean contact to sockets. I wish Scott would use better tubes with his amps but that is a different story. Get some good tubes in there and I bet your issue goes away.
Heading off to my cabin for the weekend. Have a good one.

Yeah, the tubes are gone as soon as possible. I'm sure scott uses these tubes because they are cost effective. I get that. I've decided to buy a bias probe fro eurotubes, the digital one. I'm done paying someone to bias my amps!!
Have fun at the cabin. I'll keep you posted.

Good for you! It just takes a bit of time the first time to get some things figured out and then from then on - you'll know what to do and you can really cut the time down. Maybe to like 20-30 minutes. Safety first

You may just be getting a pm from me if I run into issues!!! It looks pretty easy from the video I watched.

Probe ordered....I got the eurotubes "pro" or whatever it's called. Give you a digital readout of both plate voltage and bias current.

I contemplated getting the cheaper one but I decided screw it. Much less chance of messing anything up this way!!!

Looks pretty decent. If you can play through probe while attached I think that is a huge plus because you should bias your amp to the tone anyway and not the numbers. Start with the base numbers you are shooting for and tweak bias up or down to taste. The bias will drift a bit too even within a few days so if you have everything opened up and can handle the down time it wouldn't hurt to check it again later.

I contemplated getting the cheaper one but I decided screw it. Much less chance of messing anything up this way!!! Good choice! I actually ended up getting both. I need one immediately, and ET could only give me the cheap one when I was out there. They build the Pro to order. Having 2 is nice when working on amps that have 2 bias pots.

So I emailed Scott about the volume loss thing etc. because the tubes are still under the 90 day warranty. He said I need to determine if it is the tubes at fault...when I asked how, he replied that I need to pull them one at a time. I them asked for a more in depth explanation, because I didn't understand and got no response. So, yeah...not much help there. I don't understand how pulling one tube at a time will tell me which tube is the culprit. The amp runs on 4 tubes, not 3.....can anybody shed some light?
